The location is beautiful, the service not so much... went there for lunch & we sat ourselves on the patio... took about 15 minutes for someone to bring us a menu (busy, but not to an extreme) another 15-20 minutes after we put in our order I was told they were out of corned beef so no Reuben for me... no worries I got something else. My husband ordered a brisket sandwich - it was dry & our server didn't come back for a long time so he went to the server area to ask for more barbecue sauce. When someone finally arrived with it they said they wouldn't charge us extra this time because of the delay... EXCUSE ME an extra charge for BBQ sauce? There are AT LEAST two other barbecue places in town that have it sitting out as a regular condiment so a person could drink it with a straw if they wanted.
Well since the above review we have been back 3 more times. if it wasn't for the fact that we had a gift certificate and one of our friends had not been there yet, I would not have gone back after the second time. Each time we have ordered burgers or sandwiches and usually cocktails. The burgers were ordered pink inside, they were always well done and extremely dry and tasteless. Thank goodness for ketchup,tomato and pickle slices to add some moisture. Each of us said the sandwiches are blah, except for maybe some with added sauces. The cocktails are mostly ice and before you can get through a third of the glass you are left with nothing except ice water. On the plus side the patio is fantastic and the wait staff has been wonderful. We won't be going back. Too many other places to go that have good food.
Our office (4 people) visited Cowboy Jack's 12/19/2017 around 4:30 to have our Christmas get together. I hate to have to say, we are only giving one star. Service was horrible, there were times we didn't see our waitress for 10-20 minutes at a time. The Ribs were terrible, they were like eating mush. I took two bits and couldn't eat anymore. The waitress came back, saying sorry for the wait, as she said every time she came to the table, which wasn't many. She didn't even ask if everything was alright, just asked if anyone wanted a to go box. We decided to get dessert, which took forever to come, our waitress did not even bring it to us another waiter did. Our waitress knew we were going to split these, so now we have two deserts to split four ways on two plates. We waited and waited and finally flagged down our waitress and asked for the two extra plates. That took over 5 minutes! When she finally came back with the plates, we asked for our bill. We waited for 15 min and she says sorry for the wait and give us our bill and started to walk away. We stopped her and asked if we could take care of the bill right away. She took one of the bills and again waited for her to return. We ended up going up to the register to pay for the other bill. Needless to say, We will never go back.
Had a great dinner with the family. We all agreed that it was good! My family hasn't been here but I have and they were definitely satisfied. Anna was a great waitress as well!
We were not impressed with the service or the food, & likely we won't be back.
It was our first time there for me and two of my friends. We were all very happy with our lunch. The salads were large and packed full of extras, not just a plate of lettuce. Loved the outdoor seating, although we weren't lucky enough to find a view of the river. We all said we would definitely be back. Prices were what I would expect.
Brenda and I enjoy coming here. Chad always makes us feel welcomed. We love the Cowboy jacks IPA. Can't get enough of the flat bread. Delicious.
